Are there requirements to be an affiliate?
Affiliates must have a valid web site address, and valid email address in order to participate. Affiliates can differentiate themselves by having a top-level-domain name, and by providing a description of their intent to participate on the network. Membership to the network is controlled. We strive to bring in quality sites to our network, both affiliate and merchant alike.
How do I see reports on my earnings?
You can access your account at anytime, 24 hours a day - 7 days a week, using the username and password that you selected when signing up for your account. The reporting is all web based, and user-friendly for your conveinence.
Can I become an affiliate if I live outside the United States?
Shareasale.com is available in many countries, you can select your country from the available list during signup. If your country is not on the list, we apologize, but we cannot provide service to your country.
How are the sales and the leads tracked on the Web?
ShareASale uses cookies to track sales through affiliate's websites. The cookies are only used to identify affiliate generated sales, and we do not collect any other information for any other purpose with these cookies. Upon an event, such as a sale, we are able to determine the total amount of commission paid to the affilaite, and the affiliate that was responsible for that sale.
How is it known which affiliate to credit for which sale?
Since each link redirects first to the networks servers, and then to the Merchant's site, we are able to match up at the event of a sale with the affiliate who caused the action.
What about the customers who don't have cookies turned on in their browser?
Our research indicates that nearly 99% of internet users have cookies enabled on their browser. Cookies are an integral part of the web, and aid in the creation of e-commerce website, user-friendly websites, and other customized sites. In the uncommon event, however, that a customer has cookies disabled on their browser, the customer is not available for tracking, and sales will not be tracked.

Is there fraud prevention on the network?
ShareASale has many automated tools in place to alert us to possible fraud. Our team also monitors the activities of merchants and affiliates alike, to make sure that there is no suspicious activity. ALL checks are reviewed before they are sent, and fraudulent users will NOT be paid ANY commissions. The fact is that most people who attempt to fraud merchants or affiliates, are not very good at it, and are easy to spot, catch, and terminate from the network. We have a ZERO tolerance policy for fraud, no exceptions, no second chances.
How and When will I be paid for my generated sales and leads?
ShareASale issues payments via check and Direct Deposit on the 20th of each month. These payments are made to those affiliates who have reached the $50 minimum BEFORE the end of the previous month. For example, if an affiliate earns $50 by the end of February, they are paid those commissions on March 20th. If the affiliate did not reach the $50 minimum until March 1st, those commissions would be paid on April 20th. We have to allow time for merchants to review sales and leads in the case of returns, invalid credit cards, or even fraud.
How can I be paid faster?
ShareASale pays many of its affiliates through Direct Deposit, which is a fast and easy way to receive payments.
What kinds of stats are available for the affiliates?
Each transaction is logged on our servers, and available for review in detail. We also keep aggregate stats on the number of hits, leads, sales, and paid clicks.
What kinds of products can I promote on my website?
The merchants at Shareasale.com offer a wide variety of products and services. Affiliates can search by category for any merchant that might fit their need, and link either directly to the merchants site, or utilize direct product links.
What types banners or advertisements are their available?
Banners come in all shapes and sizes, and each individual merchant uploads a variety of banners for affiliates to choose from.
What kind of computer or technical skill is needed to be an affiliate?
Affiliates will need to be somewhat familiar with HTML, so that they can correctly Copy & Paste the linking code from Shareasale.com, and place it within a web page, or within the body of an email message.
